- Assessment of your novel will be on Monday, May, 4th as discussed in class. Please bring your novel to class.
- Vocabulary and Grammar tests will be sent home on Monday (unless your parent has an interview this week). Please ensure that your test is signed and returned at the latest by Wednesday.
- Vocabulary and Grammar assignments will continue as usual with work given Mon., correcting and review Wed., and assessment every Fri., (Thurs. if there is a holiday) This pattern has been in effect throughout the school year.

- All research work and write ups on Medieval topic handed in on Friday will be returned this week. Please see notes inside your file. - All chapter questions completed and corrected on Friday should be reviewed.

- Go through this information with your parents and bring your folder to every class. Parent signature is required to indicate that they are aware of your involvement and the date of Thursday, May 21!
- Research your role and the role that your character played in the Middle Ages. Please refer to the handout given today that is stapled into your file folder.
- All questions up to and including 163 will be corrected Tuesday.

- Cue for Treason Chapter 3 reading is due on Monday along with the questions previously assigned. A summary of 1/2- 3/4 page is due Monday for Chapter 3 reading as assigned on Friday.

- Read pages 98 and 99 from text and complete all questions in the Social Studies handout up to and including page 5 Roman Law - due Monday (discussed and assigned in class on Friday).

- Social Studies test on Rome- Thursday, February 26th. An outline will be given in class. Please begin reviewing material. A written Language Arts assignment for the unit on Rome will be assigned following the test.

Language Arts:
- Please return Grammar tests signed by a parent (Momday)- Book read is due February 20, with presentations beginning that day. We will be working on a handout on Monday to organize the information about your book.

Social Studies:
- The rough draft of the Greek Myth assignment was a wonderful beginning to your project. I was very impressed! Keep up the great work!
- Good copy of the myth is due on Wednesday. (Edit, edit, edit)!
- Students will be given some class time on Monday and Tuesday to finish up their beautiful work. Lab time has been booked for finishing up and printing out the material to hand in on Wednesday, February 4!

It is great being back and working with all of the students!

The students will be receiving assignments back tomorrow and Tuesday. It is essential that they return their tests the following day to be filed in their own personal files in the classroom.

1. Review of Units 9-11 in Grammar taken Fri.- please return Tues.

2. Spelling words from our new Ancient Greece section taken Fri. - please return Tues.

3. Rerview strategies 1-3 taken Fri. - please return Tues.

4. Media Literacy test will be returned to both classes once they have all completed the assignment on Mon.- please return Wed.

5. Social Studies test was marked some time ago. On this test sheet the students will be given their project mark as well as their design mark. These will be given to the students to record in their agendas on Monday and will not be sent home. This particular assignment will be filed in their personal files as I will be using information from all of these sources for their report card. Please ask to see their marks in their agendas on Monday!

The students will have told you that we are beginning a new unit on Ancient Greece and that we have been involved in research as well as viewing videos prior to beginning our text work. They have read some informatiuon from text and have generated questions from these sources that we will be addressing while we are studying our unit.
